Description
The 2019 Winmark Rustys Run chardonnay is a true example of classic Hunter Valley fruit. The season was ideal for chardonnay being typically warm with low levels of rain aiding a traditional ripening period. The fruit was harvested at night and after going through initial oak fermentation it was left in stainless steel tanks for the duration until its release in October. The wine shows notes of peach and citrus with a crisp finish brought on by less oak and more emphasis on elegance and balance. It is drinking beautifully now and can be stored for 3-5 years if needed.
